SCHEV Data Collection System Shutdown

by MarinaMoschos 26. October 2016 15:26

Dear Reports Coordinators,

SCHEV Research would like to inform you that we will be shutting down the Data Collection (DC) and Student Information VCSIN (SIV) systems starting Monday, January 9, 2017 through Sunday, March 12, 2017 to address data requests from the 2017 General Assembly session, system maintenance, and other issues. Given continuing demands on already limited staff resources and the fact that we do not have winter collections scheduled, we feel this is the most appropriate time to close down the system.

During this down time you will not be able to submit, process, or lock SCHEV standard data files, SIV files, or perform SIV Race updates to our system. It will be incumbent upon your institution to lock all SCHEV Fall 2016 collections (e.g. surveys, data files) by their due date, or if approved by SCHEV Research, by the January 6th closing date.

As a reminder, the due dates and collection windows of each data submission are published on the SCHEV website at:

What this means to institutions is this: If the fall data submissions are not locked by Friday, January 6, 2017, no institutional data will be reported on the SCHEV website for the relevant files. Also, any requests from legislators, legislative staff, or the administration will be completed noting any missing data. This could have direct impact on considerations for funding, performance measures, and financial aid.

Please contact your SCHEV Research liaison, if you have any questions or concerns.

Thank you,

SCHEV Research
