Unemployment rate is the average seasonally adjusted monthly rate. Employment is calculated by matching enrollment records to quarterly wage records.
Quarterly employment is converted to the academic year, thus 3rd and 4th quarters of 2000 are combined with 1st and 2nd quarters of 2001 for academic year 2000-01.
One or two quarters of employment, may represent summer only employment in mmany cases.
