Distance Education is determined based on two factors, the course type and the modality of delivery. For course type, if the definition is explicitly that of a distance model (ie. Internet Delivered) it is counted as distance. For all other courses, if the mode of delivery is anything other than "Predominantly Face to Face" the course is counted as distance, or if prior to 2010 the course was reported as off-campus and not at a site approved by SCHEV. Please note that not all distance education is online delivery and may include correspondance courses, video tapes, and other methods of delivering instructional content over distance.
